I’m not sure what conclusion to draw about Quantopian, but clearly there is a serious flaw in how they evaluate algorithms. Take a look for yourself. I use quantopian but I'm not really serious about wanting to live trade anything. I think quantopian is great for learning purposes especially since it isn't super hard to use, or generally just testing simple strategies that aren't even worth stealing.
